Roles & Responsibilities Job Description: Project manage and lead a program for efficient site survey and deployment of SPTel’s dark fibre from MDF rooms to the non-residential premises Complete and submit all applications and documents as requested by building owners before approval is granted to start work Project manage contractors and ensure timely completion of projects Manage conflict resolution with regards to payment, access and installation Oversee and manage the end to end in building deployment to ensure that the service delivery is completed within the stipulated service levels Lead and manage fibre diversion and maintenance projects and ensure timely completion of the projects Lead in service recovery in relation to fibre disruption within the assigned zone Assisting the Head, Access Engineering in acquiring special projects site like rooftops, risers, outdoor space within the building, etc for purpose of deploying customer’s equipment Provide standby support after office hours when needed Update As-Built / project completion reports in GIS Job Requirements: Diploma in telecommunication, computer engineering or IT related field At least 3 years of working experience in passive infrastructure operations (inside or outside plant operations) Strong technical knowledge of dark fibre recovery and maintenance Familiar with site acquisition and deployment of in-building telco’s facilities and assets Able to negotiate and work with difficult clients and strong project management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with contractors, colleagues and building management team / developers Independent, self-driven, highly customer focused and able to work under high-pressure environment especially during emergency restoration of telecommunications services Good communication skills, keen to learn and a team player Applicants with class 3 driving license will have an added advantage
