We are looking for a self-motivated Logistics Operative to join our Service & Support team. The successful candidate will provide support for all shipping and spares functions within an evolving team which has recently taken on new responsibilities to streamline the dispatch of all SPT Labtech’s instruments, spares and consumables. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, forward thinking and willing to identify initiatives that will improve departmental efficiencies and enhance our customer’s post sales experience. Responsibilities: Assist with the timely dispatch and shipment of new products, spares and consumables including preparation of accurate supporting documentation Packing SPT products and ensuring consignment accuracy Picking and packing of spares to fulfil daily global field service requirements Processing invoices and handling invoice queries Assisting with shipping and customs clearance enquiries Generating airway bills for global shipments Monitoring and ordering general office supplies (stationery etc.) Assisting with general adhoc admin duties, such as filing, doc-tracking, etc Provide back up support for the shipping and spares functions Sorting /distributing incoming and outgoing post including responsibility for franking Requirements A good knowledge of logistics freight forwarding and customs clearance procedures Excellent telephone/email manner Conscientious, positive and enthusiastic with a willingness to learn a variety of tasks Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is essential Packing SPT products, which may require some manual handling of heavy equipment Benefits We offer a competitive salary and a fantastic benefits package including: Private Medical Insurance, generous Pension Plan & Profit Share.
