About The Role The Brighter Futures program delivers targeted voluntary early intervention services to families with a child under the age of 9 where concerns of risk of significant harm have been raised. Utilising your previous experience as a Case Worker, you will provide an integrated case management approach for families to increase safety for children and contribute to improvement in child wellbeing outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative organisation and program that has been selected to be part the NSW SafeCare trial and is due to commence implementation of an outcomes based practice framework in 2020 which you will be trained in. As a caseworker you will be able to draw on the knowledge and skills of early childhood teachers, systemic practitioners and an Aboriginal Practice Leader to support your work We have two newly created positions for experienced case workers to join out Brighter Futures - Southern Sydney team located in Caringbah.These are full time permanent positions working 38 hours per week. About You Knowledge of relevant legislation University qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or other relevant degree Demonstrated case management and assessment experience working with children and families with complex child protection issues Excellent relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills with experience working with a range of stakeholders including families, government and community groups Knowledge and understanding of a variety of different cultural and religious groups Experience and knowledge of theoretical approaches when working with children and families including child development theory Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance Number Current driver's license with comprehensively insured vehicle (desirable) Our Culture SDN's values are at the heart of everything we do.
