Responsibilities: - Provide mechanical system solutions for new medical products that meet ID, performance, quality and cost targets at timely delivery. - Design mechanical parts which involve plastic, metal and rubber, and the related manufacturing processes. - Design mechanical systems which involve motors, actuators, gear drives, pumps and valves. - Contribute ideas, conceptual design and techniques which are of material significance in solving specific problems. - Research, select, or apply sensors, or control devices for motion control, position sensing, pressure sensing, or electronic communication. - Perform thermal, motion, structural, stack-up tolerance and vibration analysis. Conduct internal design reviews and discussions with customers. - Perform design verification and validation testing to ensure compliance with standards, country regulations and product requirements. Work with cross-functional engineers to resolve system issues. - Establish technical requirements for fabricated and procured components. Select and qualify suitable materials, finishes and processes to meet design intent. Work closely with tooling engineers and operation group on qualifications and ensure compliance. - Create procedures for assembly, inspection and testing of equipment. - Support and propose cost reduction and design robustness improvement initiatives. Requirements: - Master or Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent. - Minimum 5 years of direct relevant experience for Senior and Staff positions. - Expert user of 3D modeling tools such as SolidWork or ProEngineer/Creo. Experience user of structural FEA and thermal simulation software such as Flotherm will be advantageous. - Experience in design of advanced precision engineering for electronic medical equipment assemblies is preferred. - In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, DFMA and DFSS methodologies. - Familiar with ISO9001 or ISO13485 design process. - Knowledge in medical product design, engineering mechanics, heat transfer and electro-mechanical controls are highly desired. - Ability to effectively work in a team, and to think critically, analyze options and to create novel solutions. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $5,500.00 to $6,500.00 /month Experience: Mechanical Design: 5 years (Required)
