Cornwall’s Bowel Cancer Screening Programme is currently expanding to meet the increasing demand for bowel cancer screening, following the introduction of a new testing kit for same, whilst continuing to deliver the bowel scope screening programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly, busy and motivated team as we continue to expand the bowel cancer screening service for Cornwall. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and well organised administration assistant with confident IT skills. You will be cheerful and motivated and need to be able to work in a calm, logical and methodical way but also be able to multi-task whilst dealing with frequent interruptions, and you must possess excellent communication skills. The successful post holder will be expected to cover colleagues for planned and unplanned absences. Ideally you will have recent experience in administrative and clerical duties & can demonstrate excellent customer care skills. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly in order to meet the changing needs of service. For this post, the successful candidate will be required to attend an out of county training course to use the screening IT system. This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week which will include occasional Saturday working to cover colleagues leave.
