RothLochston provides industrial construction, maintenance and fabrication services to the oil and gas, mining, pulp and paper, utility and power generation industries throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. RothLochston is currently recruiting Supervisors for our Labrador City location. This position is responsible for ensuring the overall safety of assigned multi-trade’s personnel and the management of specific projects. Responsibilities include: Ensure project execution is consistent with Company’s safety standards, safe work practices, JSA’s and meets requirements of client’s and regulatory safety qualifications Complete daily safety meetings, interactions, tool box talks, JSA’s, etc. Ensure a clean, safe, unobstructed, work area is maintained and continuously practicing proper safety habits Identify trades personnel are trained for the activities being performed Execute project plans, obtain appropriate client and regulatory approvals and sign-offs Execute project schedules, document project status, track risks, issues, changes, deliverables and percentage completion in order to deliver projects on time and on budget Communicate changes in project scope to Project Manager, General Foreman and clients Identify project issues at appropriate levels within the Company and the client organization, present options and practical solutions Display judgment in communications with different personnel, handle sensitive confidential information appropriately to team members and client personnel Promote and practice company values in the leadership of project supervisory staff and nurture a creative, innovative and enjoyable work environment Participate in regular project reviews with General Foreman Education & Skills required: A diploma in engineering technology and/or trade journeyman status from a recognized institute or other qualifications, industrial training and experience deemed equivalent. Previous management experience, preferably in an industrial, mechanical construction environment will be an asset. The 2-day Workplace NL approved Confined Space course and 2-day Workplace NL approved Fall Protection Course certifications are required.
