Working directly under the guidance and direction of the Senior Legal Counsel, this a career defining opportunity made available in the Adelaide Market. With key deliverables including advising on and drafting a wide range of commercial agreements and support to key internal stakeholders across the Interstate and Hunter Valley Business Units, this is a true career move. As Legal Counsel key responsibilities are: Support in the provision of high quality in-house legal services, including advice and support on negotiating contracts Advice and support on tender and procurement documentation; contract management and advice on contract disputes Settling complex documents; ensuring the implementation and maintenance of legal compliance systems and overseeing legal matters across the legal team and any other duties as required by the General Counsel. Assist the Senior Legal Counsel and the General Counsel to ensure the smooth delivery of legal services to the company and the development of experience and expertise in all relevant fields Draft, negotiate and advise on commercial agreements – some examples include design and construct, construct only, major and minor works; labour services; consultancy services; standing offers; confidentiality agreements; and equipment hire in the Hunter Valley and Interstate Networks Essential experience: Minimum of 6 to 7 years post admission experience with a focus on contract, construction, project, technology, commercial, corporate and / or property law Holder of a current practicing certificate as a legal practitioner Experience in the mentoring and management of a team of professional staff servicing internal and external stakeholders towards the achievement of organisational goals Demonstrated experience in developing, negotiating and managing commercial service contracts. Demonstrated managerial ability in organising, developing and working with multi-disciplinary teams, together with an ability to interact and build strong working relationships at senior levels with providers or infrastructure construction maintenance services.
