As part of our dynamic and high-functioning team this is a specialist role that focuses on: Industrial relations including attending performance meetings, conducting investigations and moderating workplace disputes Advising supervisors on good courses of action when they are seeking guidance Coaching supervisors in having conversations and offering feedback to their people Overseeing the yearly engagement survey and annual review process Designing and facilitating sessions as it relates to people improvement Explaining how the Local Government Award applies in varied scenarios Policy Development All about you You are a 'new-age' People & Culture Specialist with a positive disposition, who enjoys being part of an awesome team, you have a strong focus on culture and relationship building. You also have: Extensive experience in human resources A good understanding of Employment Law and/or the Local Government State Award Experience with unions Experience in coaching leaders in performance management and feedback Developed forward thinking and employee friendly policy We are seeking someone who has: Tertiary qualifications in human resources, business, law or related discipline and/or several years’ experience in a human resource role Experience in industrial relations, applying the relevant legislation and workplace investigations Immaculate attention to detail with the ability to get things done Exceptional interpersonal skills and a high standard of oral and written communication Our Values and Behaviours Integrity and Passion Customer Service.
