Employment Specialist Role - Rethink Mental Illness Warwickshire IPS Service We work to improve the lives of people severely affected by mental illness through our network of local groups and services, expert information and successful campaigning. Our goal is to make sure everyone affected by service mental illness has a good quality of life. As an Employment Specialist you will be part of a community team based in Warwickshire supporting an Individual Placement and support (IPS) service. Finding suitable work can transform people’s lives, especially people with mental health issues. As an IPS specialist, you will discover what people dream to do, and then help them make it a reality. Duties & Responsibilities: Be able to build relationships with clinical teams to generate referrals and create a collaborative working partnership with NHS clinicians where employment support is integrated into mental health treatment. You will be required to manage a caseload of up to 20-30 people at any time who have experienced mental health problems and who are unemployed. The Employment Specialist is expected to deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach – for which training will be given. Working directly with all relevant stakeholders: the service user, CMHT staff, consultant psychiatrists, partner agencies and employers - you will support the service users on your caseload to gain and retain paid employment.
