We are looking for a Training Content Author to join our Reliable team, and to be an integral part of our corporate training department. The successful candidate will be experienced with seeking information from a variety of sources, and developing meaningful content for training purposes. The Training Content Author role will be a blend of research and content creation. The role will work closely with the training team to develop content requirements – including the evaluation of current content, and the development of content models and style guides. Job Responsibilities: Participate in industry news, workshops, chat-rooms etc. to ensure that Reliable Controls’ training program keeps pace with current technology and trends Write clear subject matter and scripts to promote Reliable Controls products/services Coordinate with marketing and design teams to create impactful training materials Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our training content, and recommend new topics and avenues for development Regularly produce subject matter for various training content, including instructional videos and scripts, eLearning, quizzes and exams and PowerPoint presentations Prepare well-structured drafted content for training initiatives Analyze training feedback and makes changes as needed Measure impact and perform analysis to improve KPIs Contribute to the localization of process and content to ensure consistency across regions Review and implement process changes to drive operational excellence Proofread and edit blog posts before publication Edit content produced by other members of the team Submit work to editors for input and approval Ensure all-around consistency in style, tone and font of written content Training Support Support the development and implementation of departmental training related projects Support in administration and maintenance of training content and registrations Other duties and special projects as assigned Job Qualifications: Post-Secondary education in a related field or discipline A minimum of two years’ experience in the Building Automation industry, preferably working with Reliable Controls products Up to two years of work experience in a content writing capacity or a related discipline Prior experience working for a high-tech company, with heavy emphasis on training and development would be considered an asset Experience conducting research using multiple sources High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrated initiative and drive, and a solution-focused mindset Ability to analyze and interpret data Ability to work well independently and complete tasks with limited supervision High level of professionalism and outstanding technical writing and documentation skills Exceptional command of the English language, and strong verbal, written, grammar and research skills Up-to-date knowledge of content writing practices and guidelines If you feel your qualifications meet the requirements listed above and are interested in joining our Reliable Controls family, please apply with us online: upload your cover letter and a resume along with your salary expectations at the "Apply Now" button above.
