MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 or equivalent Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) Current MCSE ITIL Foundations ver. 4 Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in Information Technology Valid First Aid certificate EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Strong knowledge of computers and how they operate, which includes a broad understanding of hardware and software, operating systems and basic computer programming. Extensive knowledge of IT Security. Good problem solving skills; ability to visualise a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it. Excellent record keeping. Ability to handle constantly changing flow of IT traffic; remain productive during slow times, be able to multi task effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Resolve IT related incidents or escalate those issues that the IT personnel is unable to resolve himself. IT inventory list and Route Forms are up to date and accurate. Ensure IT policies & procedures are enforced Installation of stakeholder hardware & software Ensure network permissions are in place Manage & maintain office automation equipment Support external users in relation to connectivity & IT support Networking and WAN Links End point hardware & software Ensure data back-up of sites & subsidiaries Ensure functioning of time & attendance systems Ensure the functioning of CCTV systems Ensure maintenance & administration of telephony systems Stock management of hardware, software & consumables Repair & replace hardware Ensure computer hardware & software is updated Supervise subcontractors in accordance with site requirements and safety standards
