Racemark International, LLC is a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier. The Accounting Specialist will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities and other related financial activities in the Finance Department at Racemark. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Interaction will include vendor and customer contacts. Internally, they will work with other accounting personnel, department managers, sales people, as well as all other Racemark associates. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization including US and Swiss operations. Assists Controller in preparing financial statements. Sets up new vendor accounts and maintains vendor ACH data. Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly and verifies deposits. Full cycle AR, customer invoicing to cash receipts, AR collections/customer remittance reconciliations. Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts and other financial accounts. Research customer payment variances. Full cycle AP – vouchering invoices to payment processing and 1099. Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit. Files tax forms with federal, state and local government agencies. Maintains knowledge of GAAP practices and procedures. Prepares GL Journal entries, month-end closing, account reconciliations Assists with year-end physical inventory Assist Controller with annual budget Cash forecasting, quarterly borrowing, base reporting, fixed asset/depreciation Performs other related duties as assigned. COMPETENCIES Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent analytical & organizational skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills required. Working knowledge of GAAP policy and cost accounting principles. Ability to correctly prepare tax reports. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Excel required including pivot tables. Similar ERP software experience required. Work independently and proactively. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive data. Proven ability to meet strict deadlines. Multi-task with conflicting priorities. Understanding of currency exchange. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment required Ability to adjust to prolonged periods of sitting a desk and working on a computer.
