Online Delivery Manager Audiences, Channels & Marketing Division Raidió Teilifís Éireann, Ireland’s public service media organisation, operates nine integrated structural divisions. They are Operations and Production Services, Corporate Affairs, Audience, Channels & Marketing, Transformation & Technology, Finance, Human Resources, Content, News & Current Affairs and Commercial. Operations and Production Services is responsible for all production, broadcast, media and property services in RTÉ. The division is committed to the delivery of cost effective, efficient and innovative services, in partnership with other areas of the organisation. RTÉ is looking to recruit two Online Delivery Managers in the Audiences, Channels & Marketing division. These roles will be responsible for leading the delivery and project management process from scope sign-off through design, development, testing, release and run of RTÉ’s online services. Reporting to the Product Development Manager and in conjunction with other senior project managers within the Online team, these roles will be responsible for: defining the delivery and project management approach; identifying risks, issues and dependencies; managing project budgets and resources, ensuring that RTÉ receives maximum return on development investment. Key responsibilities will include: Producing requirements and scope documents, developing project plans, setting delivery priorities and making schedule adjustments to meet delivery goals Managing the delivery teams, internal and external, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of projects and development activities Analysing, anticipating and troubleshooting delivery issues in a timely fashion Overseeing daily activities of the delivery team, providing direction and leadership Developing process improvements to increase cost effectiveness and time savings Reporting delivery status to stakeholders and maintaining project delivery documentation Assisting in functional testing and UAT support Managing ongoing changes and issue resolution for live services Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of industry developments, emerging technologies, practices and trends The successful candidates will have considerable experience managing and delivering large scale projects in the digital and online application sector. They should have a thorough understanding of the digital application development process with specific emphasis on high-traffic, public facing media websites, mobile and connected device applications. The successful candidates should experience leading project and operational teams in a creative, technical environment and have a proven track record of delivering projects on scope, on budget and on time. The successful candidate must be process driven with a rigorous attention to detail and have the ability to influence stakeholders in delivering change.
