Position Overview If you are a highly motivated, team spirited administrative professional, the Claims Coordinator role may be for you! Reporting to the Director of Claims, and located in downtown Toronto, the successful candidate will provide administrative support to our head office claims team. This department handles the large and complex claims for all lines of business within RSA. This opportunity will enhance your project management and presentation skills as you take the lead in facilitating meetings with the large loss property team, including, task tracking, data collection, analysis and trend reporting, and opportunity identification. The role is based primarily at 18 York with some flexibility to work from other offices in the GTA. What you will achieve in this role You will be responsible for effectively managing day-to-day administrative duties related to claims and client service for the Head Office Claims team. This will include liaising with customers, brokers, business partners and senior leaders with ease. Keeping commitments is important to you, you are open to change and enjoy creating process solutions. Your administrative experience will be applied as you are responsible for a broad variety of administrative tasks including managing client and broker inquiries, mail, photocopying, travel arrangements, expense reports, coordination of audits and other clerical duties and ad-hoc requests as needed. Read and analyze incoming claims, memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution. Facilitation of meetings including audio/video, conference room management as well as the preparation and distribution of agendas and minutes from a variety of meetings (i.e., large loss agendas and forms, month end commentary reports, indemnity savings reports and weekly reconciliation of large loss reserves). Handling all matters proactively and expeditiously. Facilitate regular and structured communication of KPI’s and other metrics to key stakeholders throughout the organization, You will also play a role in managing Governance, which includes logging monthly control reports, maintain training, hospitality, complaint and conflict logs where you would report as required and maintain claims license database for head office claims team. You have a sense of urgency and collaborate well with your team, colleagues and senior management in the business while responding to information requests from internal and external clients and customers What you bring to this role Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a related role in a fast paced and high volume environment Customer focused and capable of communicating with employees of all levels Must have excellent follow-through, strong business acumen and demonstrate a high level of urgency and adaptability. Strong collaboration and coordination across a multi-location organization, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities; Exceptional oral and written communication skills and excellent email etiquette Superior organizational skills coupled with the ability to multi-task and prioritize Strong analytical skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently; resourceful with strong problem solving skills High level of integrity, ethics and professionalism; must be able to handle all confidential information with discretion and sensitivity Previous experience or knowledge of Insurance and claims is beneficial Ability to communicate in French is an asset Post-Secondary degree or diploma Proficient computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
