POSITION DESCRIPTION Quad Infotech is currently seeking an Engineering Project Manager to join our team located in Toronto. This job involves handling the implementation and commissioning projects for Quad Infotech's wide range of industrial software in the field of mechanical engineering. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage large projects with complex scope, multiple streams of work and inter-dependencies; Work with cross functional team members to understand the goals and measurements of the project to determine project success criteria, and project objectives; Identify project risk and work with the cross functional teams to develop contingency plans for Quad system’s projects; Coordinate with project resources including managers, developers, business owners and business users Run and monitor projects on a day to day basis, including project meetings with the cross functional project teams, managing schedule, budget, risks, updates and status changes Efficiently and effectively manage problems and issues around scope creep and/or changes in business requirements to bring the project back on plan with the agreement of project stakeholders Conduct a review of completed projects to understand the successes and issues and apply the learning to future projects Prior experiences in the industrial sector, especially steel, would be a great bonus Responsible for applying the knowledge of steel making and rolling process towards ongoing enhancement of Quad’s existing software systems as well as development of new systems Analyze dynamics of mechanical systems and structures Review designs, calculations and cost estimates for the proposed systems Involved in on-going efforts for operational analysis and process improvements QUALIFICATIONS · 3 to 5 years engineering project management experience; Professional project management training or certification – PMP desirable but not mandatory; · Must have experience in Agile project management methods; · Knowledge of project management software’s, database software, computer-aided design (CAD) and data analysis software; · Team player, Accurate, Excellent oral and written communication, organized and reliable · Experienced in quality assurance and control, installation and maintenance and inspection of equipment or facilities; · Excellent presentation and communication skills; · University degree in engineering or computer science · Must be analytical, flexible, team-oriented · Ability to work on a fast paced environment and with multiple stakeholders · Have a fun, high energy, positive, passionate, goal-oriented, confident self-starter attitude Languages English Education Bachelor's degree engineering or computer science Experience 3 - 5 years project management experience preferably in the industrial sector, mainly within the steel industry.
