PURE Casino Edmonton requires a full time Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. Working in close conjunction with the General Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. The HR Coordinator carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, administration, and recruitment. Key Accountabilities Preparing and posting job advertisements, screening applications, arranging interviews, participating in the selection process and maintaining a spreadsheet on tracking applications. Providing general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms and reports. Preparing and administrating documentation for new hires including criminal record checks, identification tags, locker assignment and department tours. Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants. Managing sensitive and confidential matters like personnel relations, employee relations and organizational changes, planning and protecting the security of information, data and files. Responding to and putting through various queries from managers and employees, and from other agencies or departments. Exercising individual judgment while dealing with potential or real troubles on own initiative and bringing them to manager’s attention. Coordinating in volunteer and staff training events or programs and recommending resources as needed. Being able to effectively communication professionally both orally and written. Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office and the Casino operations. Skills and Specifications Required Skills Effective problem solving Knowledge and experience with the recruitment process Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Internet Explorer Committed to diversity and equality Excellent interpersonal and written skills required Ability to work independently, and in a team environment Must be creative and able to adapt to a dynamic environment Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality, ethics and company standards Proactive and collaborative team player with a strong customer service focus Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and privacy of information policies Experience and ability to research and gather information Knowledge and experience in best practices in human resource management including talent and leadership development, performance management and training and development Education and Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years HR related experience. Previous ADP Software knowledge would be considered an asset. College diploma or additional post-secondary education in HR related courses are an asset.
