JOB SUMMARY We are looking for an experienced Submarine Power Cable Systems Proposal & Installation Engineer to help us shape the future. Based in Milan,Italy, within the Installation Proposal Team, the candidate, reporting directly to the Head of Proposal Engineering, will be involved in the tender phase of the projects and partially involved during the construction phase. He/her will be in charge of examine the tender documentation, in particular the technical aspects of it; will elaborate technical solutions in accordance of the data provided by the Customers, will be involved in site visits when necessary to understand the logistics aspects of the job, check solutions feasibility, contact potential subcontractors. The candidate will prepare and issue the RFQ with all the technical specifications, for the subcontractors. In conclusion will be responsible to identify the project timing and costs. He/her will be also in charge of the preparation of the Plan of Work in regards of the installation activities, will also be involved in the negotiation phase with customers. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are looking for a Proposal Installation Engineer with the following skills and motivations: At least 4+ professional years as a Proposal Installation Engineer within the Submarine Cable industries A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related Engineering Degrees Knowledge of Installation engineering tasks and submarine cables installation business or market Knowledge of survey data analysis knowledge of submarine installation activities costing Good knowledge of Microsoft Projects, Ms Office, AutoCAD Strong experience in the preparation of technical documentation related to marine installation, experience on site: offshore Strong negotiation skills Strong time management skills The ability to work in multi-functional and international teams Excellent in building strong relationships A strong problem solver and result oriented Able to work under pressure International mobility and availability to travel Fluent English both written and spoken WHO WE ARE We are Prysmian Group, leader in anticipating the world’s energy and communications needs.
