Who we need Project X is looking to add 2 Consultants for the role of ETL Developer who will receive detailed and high-level requirements & specifications from the client for implementation. You will analyze, design, develop, optimize, test, and document ETL deliverables to meet our clients' needs. You will work with Architects, Designers, Business Analysts, and other Developers to provide quality development deliverables. What our Consultant, ETL Developer will do: Develop a deep, multilayered understanding of the business issues and the data challenges of the client's organizations and their industries. Design, build, implement and support technical data integration solutions for Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, or Big Data solutions environments as required Demonstrate collegial teamwork, by communicating clearly and completely with all project team members to identify and resolve issues Utilize SQL, shell scripts and other external programming languages to complement and enhance the functionality the ETL tools provide Apply automation and innovation on new and existing data platforms for those development projects aligned to the client's business or organizational strategies Participate in the requirements gathering, analysis and solutions design Conduct unit & integration tests, assisting in test preparations to ensure data integrity, data quality, and program functional completeness & correctness Create detailed technical documentation for data integration (ETL) programs and other deliverables Implement processes aligned to data management best practices (as defined or adopted by the client) and standards, ensure data quality and process performance within all system development deliverables Contribute to lessons learned and process improvements Apply new technologies to improve work efforts when available Maintain an up to date knowledge of, and adopt, relevant market trends and practices And how do we know that's you? You have: 3-5 years' experience in data integration technical projects as an ETL Developer Experience working within ETL tools such as Talend ETL/ Informatica/ Microsoft SSIS/SAP BODS/ IBM Data Stage/Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or Ab Initio Working Knowledge in data warehousing, including data mapping and transformations, data dependencies, data source analysis and profiling, OLTP, OLAP Broad knowledge in Relational DBMS, SQL, MPP and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, MongoDB, Post Gres, Snowflake Working experience in SQL Programming, creating complex queries, tables, view, and procedures Practical knowledge in query optimization and performance tuning Previous working experience in Agile delivery methodology, DevOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment concepts and methods General Knowledge in Big data, data query/ingestion tools such as HBase, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Flume, Spark, Kafka, Impala, Hadoop, Practical Knowledge in scripting and other programming skills like Shell Script, Java, C#, Python or Scala is an asset Above average skills in communication, solution-based approaches to solving problems, level-headed decision making, time management, prioritizing effectively while delivering high quality work, as well as collaborating with internal teams (Project X ltd.), external teams (non-Project X 3rdparties), and client team members Demonstrated skills in leadership and integrity and working independently Proven ability to meet deadlines and commitments, adaptive and flexible and approach situations with a consultative mindset Knowledge in testing automation, data modeling and Erwin are a nice to have. Bachelor's degree, preferably in Software or Computer Science/Engineering Fields or have related industry experience or acumen Why join Project X LTD?
