Ongoing shifts across 6 days a weeks Home care client based in Upper Coomera Support client with a brain injury in their home About the Role: Programmed Health Professionals are a leading provider of health care staff in Australia. We are currently seeking a Disability Support Worker to work with one of our home care clients on an on-going basis. We need someone who is extremely reliable and punctual, who has strong work ethics and is pro-active. Our client is a young child based in Upper Coomera who has a brain injury and requires care 6 days a week. Shifts are ongoing and will be: Monday to Friday 3.30 - 7.30pm, and Saturdays 8.30am to 4.30pm, commencing ASAP. There is some travel required (km's are reimbursed) but the majority of the care is in the clients home. The work is companionship care (no personal care), and requires the Support Worker to engage and occupy the child with activities, games, play time and possibly swim time in the client's home pool. It also includes some elements of domestic work, being tidying of play areas and post activities etc. What you need to have: Cert III or IV in Disability, Community, Aged Care Support or Individual Support Minimum 6 months of recent disability experience, ideally working with clients with brain injuries Experience working with or volunteering with young children is preferred Valid First Aid Certificate Current Employee Blue Card National Police Check (We can arrange one for you if required) What we can provide to you: Dedicated team available 7 days a week to support you On-going roster provided Great hourly rates paid weekly Supportive and encouraging organisation Who we are: Programmed Care is a trusted provider of home care and disability support services through our highly skilled team of qualified and specialist nurses, carers and support staff.
