Reporting into the Technical Test Manager, you will be responsible for providing early feedback of shared features and 3rd Party Plugins prior to them being consumed by the various game teams within the business. Working closely with the Middleware team, you will build on the unit tests generated by the developers and devise and implement integration / behaviour tests, often without the comfort of a user interface, instead using logs and other non UI based test strategies. You will coordinate with the Game teams and highlight known areas of risk prior to adoption, whilst continuously building on the Middleware teams test strategy at both a manual and automation layer to better processes and quality within the team and the companies development lifecycle. Responsibilities: Lead triage's and provide daily reports on milestone progression and priorities Drive the creation, maintenance, and implementation of dedicated test sessions, test suites and associated test cases Work closely with the client leads to ensure smooth integration of our middleware and 3rd party SDKs Work closely with Customer Support to investigate, document and where necessary push for swift resolution of Live issues Aligning with the Technical Test Managers vision, ensure testing best practices are being followed, providing feedback and suggestions to better them where necessary The ability to cover for the Technical Test Manager and drive the integration testing of our 3rd parties and the Middleware layer of the codebase forwards in periods of absence Often working without a Client, you will be required to generate your own Test Scenes via Unity to support test efforts Requirements Working closely with the Middleware developers, knowledge of C# and good engineering practices / code architecture (SOLID / DRY principles, design patterns etc.) is required Experience in log capture through the use of ADB / XCode for debug purposes Familiar with Build Systems (Jenkins / Bamboo) and version control working in a Continuous Integration to allow Continuous testing and delivery A thorough background in TDD / BDD and how this can be used to improve delivery through unit tests and clear communication of business logic A clean code evangelist who can advocate for a strong approach to unit testing Knowledge of Cucumber / Gherkin / Appium / Selenium / Specflow with a background of working toward automated QA solutions to improve test efficiency Familiar understanding and background with Unity TestRunner for writing play mode and edit mode tests Experience with New Relic and / or other monitoring tools to troubleshoot and check the performance of our apps Experienced in using SQL to troubleshoot live issues and better inform test practices Experienced with project dependency management tools such as Gradle or Maven for building locally with numerous plugins and dependencies Experienced with API and data contract testing and tools to perform these tests (Postman / Swagger) for testing the Middleware integration with Unity Good knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Test Life Cycle (STLC) About You: The ability to work both independently and collectively to drive quality A healthy interest in how things work, not just being content that it does work Exceptional verbal/written communication with an excellent attention to detail Strong time management, accountability, and organisational skills A proactive attitude towards QA and capable of working in a high-pressure Agile environment Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of business priorities Knowledge of submission workflows for mobile applications (Apple/GooglePlay/Amazon) Ability to travel to our offshore team (averaging 5 days a year) Exceptional reporting capabilities Extensive knowledge of JIRA and / or similar bug tracking tools Extensive experience in test suite creation and maintenance About Us: Product Madness burst into life in 2007 as the brainchild of two Stanford Business MBA graduates who possessed an innate love of gaming.
