PragmatIC are bringing advanced, thin, flexible, microelectronic integrated circuits (ICs) into mass production using highly novel techniques and materials. We seek candidates with a strong scientific or electronics engineering background to join our Process Engineering team. This team’s role is to develop advanced micro-electronics fabrication processes and provide technical support to PragmatIC’s growing manufacturing activity. Candidates must have a good degree in a physical science or electrical/electronic engineering. They should enjoy the challenge of applying their analytical skills in solving complex problems in a fast-moving high technology environment. Some experience of working within the technology sector would be an advantage, but it is equally important that candidates can demonstrate an aptitude and enthusiasm to develop solutions to technical problems. The ability to deliver high quality, well reported, work while meeting tight deadlines is an important aspect of the role. Qualifications and training Degree in a physical science, electronics or electrical engineering Excellent numeracy Good knowledge of IT - as a minimum Word, Excel (SQL is an advantage) Skills and experience Some exposure to working in a technical environment Strong interest the fabrication of electronic devices Knowledge of micro-scale fabrication and microscopy Strong experimental skills, able to devise, carry out and analyse experiments to probe the physical world A strong ability to work to tight deadlines and progress multiple projects simultaneously.
