The Opportunity: Join one of Canada’s leading news media companies reaching 18 million Canadians on a monthly basis; Postmedia Network Inc. is looking for an experienced and passionate Digital Designer. With over 140 national and local brands, we work hard and are not afraid to innovate. This position reports to the Creative Art Director and will play a key role in creating dynamic digital campaigns. What you’ll do: Meet art department work standards by following production, productivity, quality and customer service standards. Create digital ads, newsletters, sales presentations, webpage design, video animation and interactive online elements. Champion the visual brand assets to ensure a consistent style and quality is met across internal and external stakeholders. Who you are: Must have completed, a university degree or college diploma in advertising, web/graphic design, digital media design, visual arts, UI/UX design or similar field. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite Applications in a Mac OS environment (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), Microsoft Office, HTML5, CSS3 and WordPress CMS Experienced developing and maintaining websites built in WordPress. Proficiency with HTML/CSS/JS - Experience with designing HTML email campaigns You’re current with software across multiple online platforms, and you really care about the details of design. Good understanding of project management, web development, design processes, and quality assurance. Knowledge of online marketing and latest web design trends. Strong time management skills to achieve creative processes to meet campaign launch or project timelines. A team player, creative and open-minded attitude with the ability to work in an environment of competing priorities.
