Our client based in Pietermaritzburg is seeking a highly competent Engineer to take responsibility for the entire production facility. This position has a progression to COO designate and will succeed the Factory Manager in 3 years. This position will hold the responsibility of both engineering and production. Due to our clients Equity Plan preference will be given to Equity candidates Job Duties BSC Electrical Engineering or HND in Electrical Engineering (heavy current) or Mechanical Engineer Government Certificate of Competency (Factories) Preferable 8 -10 years’ experience in industrial environment - experience on industrial air conditioning systems Proven Management ability and management of staff complement of 20 employees Proven experience in electronics Exposure to AC/DC drives, PLC’s, Relays Reticulation systems Familiar with Pragma Maintenance system Interpreting and analysing statistical information Computer literate Project management experience Development of staff Lean Six Sigma qualification/WCM and continuous improvement Health and Safety legislation and compliance
