The Human Resources Partner will work in the PSNI’s HR Service Centre to deliver efficient, professional and effective HR support across the organisation. The role holder will be responsible for providing expert advice to managers at all levels. They will focus on discipline, fairness at work, attendance management, resourcing issues, performance management and employment relations matters. The role holder will coach line managers to enhance their people management skills. They will identify areas for development in the delivery of HR advice and help to embed the principle of an empowered line manager across the organisation. They will ensure that all agreed policies, procedures and working practices are followed in all departments, while identifying areas for improvement. They will attend Senior Management Team meetings and Flexible Working Panels, support their HR colleagues on complex and wide-ranging issues and provide witness evidence and documentation to Industrial Tribunal claims. The role holder will hold a degree level qualification, or equivalent, and be an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (ACIPD) by the date of appointment. They will have a minimum of one year’s experience in a generalist HR role, working in a large, multi-site, multidisciplinary organisation. Applicants must be computer literate.
