The Labour Supervisor is responsible for managing the labour workforce and ensuring supervision of assistants and greenhouse workers. The incumbent must be highly organized and results oriented, with a strong commitment to quality and teamwork, to meet or exceed expectations of the company. and its clients. Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will play a key role to complete day-to-day greenhouse and field vegetable operations and manages seasonal business planning. Main Duties and Responsibilities Ensure crop work is completed in a timely and efficient manner Motivate workers while supervising them and work beside them at times Aid in pest monitoring and helping staff identify pest and disease problems Recognize and report problems with equipment, structure, etc. ability to diagnose crop needs and requirements and act in a timely and correct manner to address all situations Proficient record keeper and familiar with all laws and regulations pertaining to greenhouse production and food safety Ensure cleanliness and organization within designated greenhouse areas Supervise yearly activities such as crop clean-out and planting of new crop in areas where required Ensure Health & Safety programs and Food Safety Policies are followed Maintain constant and daily communication with other departments that require regular input from the greenhouses Report and request work orders for all greenhouse maintenance issues (structural, equipment, heating, irrigation) Other duties as assigned Benefits: Extended health care Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $17.00 to $19.00 /hour Experience: customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
