Key Responsibilities: Bring ideas to 3D-designs and further to detailed production models and drawings. Deliver innovative and sustainable rigid plastic packaging solutions – on product, tooling and machine level. Perform required strength calculations using FEA software. Interact with Project Engineers, Process Engineers and Tool Suppliers. Interact with Plastipak plants and customers. Education, work experience, skills and competencies required: Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Hands-on experience with CATIA (or similar), 3D parametrical design, 2D drawings Experience with FEA (Abaqus CAE and CATIA AFC) is a plus Strong hands-on approach strengthened with a broad technical background in mechanical engineering and product development 3D CAD Design, mechanical simulation (FEA) and machine engineering interest and/or experience Knowledge of Technical and Manufacturing processes in Injection Molding/Stretch Blow-Molding/Single Stage, Extrusion Blow-Molding etc. Innovative technical thinking and critical thinking Autonomous, results-oriented, initiative and pro-active Knowledge of English Team player – communication skills Some travel will be required.
