Reports to: New Media Staff Based at: PPG Paints Arena, 1001 Fifth Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 Job Description: The Pittsburgh Penguins are currently seeking an intern from May 2020-August 2020 to assist with social media, website management, graphic design, and digital marketing projects. Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and events. Relocation assistance will not be provided. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Assist with drafting content and analytics for the Penguins’ social networks Assist with management and maintenance on pittsburghpenguins.com Prepare one-pagers on social media trends and changes to social networks Update Penguins website content, including page revisions and adding of photo galleries Assist in graphic design and photography efforts for Penguins’ social media and website Assist in capturing engaging in-game fan content for use on Penguins’ social media (if internship overlaps with playoff schedule) Assist with digital sponsorship tracking Candidates should possess the following qualifications: Pursuing a degree in digital media, sports management, graphic design, marketing, communications, multi-media journalism or related field Required: Must have completed sophomore year Required Technical Skills: Photoshop, Hootsuite (or similar social content management tools), comfort with a DSLR camera Preferred Technical Skills: Familiarity with social listening tools, familiarity with web analytics software (Omniture, Google Analytics or similar platforms), HTML, CSS, Illustrator, website optimization Preferred: Strong hockey knowledge and familiarity with the NHL and the Pittsburgh Penguins
