We produce a unique product that is sold in the craft/art industry. This role is responsible for ensuring manufacturing team is actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and production schedule. The Manufacturing Supervisor provides effective training to the team and ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times. Must be willing and able to learn how to operate each piece of equipment in the manufacturing process. Must have a mechanical aptitude. Must be able to build, maintain and lead a teamwork type environment. Must have good communication skills. REPORTS TO: Management SUPERVISES: Manufacturing Team JOB FUNCTION: Oversee and participate in the Manufacturing operations and activities of Photocentric Inc. Train and provide work direction to assigned personnel. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible to provide temporary relief for employees that leave their work area for any reason (bath room breaks, vacation, go to personnel, etc.). Communicate with Manager on equipment and or quality related problems. Alert Manager immediately of any potential safety hazards, production shortfalls/reasons, quality problems/reasons, and attendance/manpower issues. Will be responsible to learn and complete all repairs within their respective area. Learn to complete repairs with a minimum of disruption to production. Oversee and participate in the Manufacturing operations and activities of Photocentric Inc. Assure Polymer stock and warehouse facility is maintained in a safe, clean and orderly condition. Identify and mark any defective stamps. Address issues with Stamp Maker Operator and with Machine Operators. Communicate any issues with Management and other departments involved. Maintain a variety of records, files and reports. Operate a variety of equipment and vehicles. Utilize a variety of hand tools as required. Arrange and keep warehouse equipment and tools neatly. Train and provide work direction to meet daily goals. Keep machinery working at all times. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain regular attendance. Job Requirements: 2+ years of proven and verified leadership experience in manufacturing process. Flexible on work schedule. Adaptability to change. Ability to evaluate processes and determine the most efficient method of manufacturing. Ability to lead, influence and motivate employees. Promote quality, safety and teamwork. Ability to identify, define and solve problems. Train and provide work direction to others. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Good time management and organizational skills. Ability to work in a team environment as well independently. Maintain appropriate stock levels of materials. Add, subtract, multiply and divide quickly and accurately. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Meet schedules and timelines. Mechanically inclined Physical Demands: Work is performed while standing or walking. Ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing and reaching. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull weights up to 75 pounds.
