Mechanical Manufacturing Technician Phoenix Technology Services is a progressive and innovative Calgary based Directional Drilling Company. Driven by our client’s needs, we are committed to providing more efficient and cost-effective drilling operations. We have an opening for a Mechanical Manufacturing Technician based out of our SE Technical Centre. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager the Mechanical Manufacturing Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality, assembly, and suitability of all hardware manufactured by Phoenix. Occasionally this individual may also be required to assist with the assembly of electronic products and the creation of manufacturing documents. Responsibilities also include: Work with the Manufacturing Manager, Mechanical Engineers and Manufacturing Department to develop and implement assembly procedures. Assemble products based on accepted procedures. Perform tests to verify the quality of the assembly. Maintain documentation of all measurements and tests performed. File in a manner that facilitates the mining of these results for statistics and trends regarding the quality of the parts. Maintain inventory of parts waiting for assembly. Create manufacturing documentation. Give feedback to the Manager and Production Department regarding problems and possible solutions to common non-conformances. Work within the Company’s Health and Safety Program to minimize unsafe acts and conditions, and prevent workplace accidents and incidents. Assist other departments in diagnosing field failures as required. The candidate must have strong skills in Microsoft office and excellent verbal and written communication. They must have experience in processing documentation, reading assembly drawings and be proficient at problem solving and record keeping. The incumbent will need experience working with power/hand tools, and have the ability to lift 60lbs. Candidate may need to work overtime as needed Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
