£18,301 - £19,952 Ruthvenfield Depot, Inveralmond, Perth PH1 3EE The Street Lighting Partnership forms part of The Roads Service within The Environment Service. The Partnership operates as an integrated team under a single Street Lighting Partnership Manager covering Perth and Kinross Council, Dundee City Council, Angus Council and Tayside Contracts. We provide full design, installation and maintenance services for all public lighting. The same service is available to other Council departments and a range of external agencies. An enthusiastic person is required to join the Street Lighting Partnership. You will work as a member of a team involved in the design and installation of new public lighting and the maintenance of existing lighting installations. The work is varied and covers the full Perth and Kinross Council area. Your main duties will be assisting in the design and implementation of public lighting and traffic related projects. Represent the Partnership as required at meetings with other services, outside bodies, community representatives and members of public. Provide general administrative duties which include liaison with Statutory Undertakers and maintain fault and inspection data entered into the Street Lighting Asset Management database. You will also carry out site surveys and inspections and assist in assessing requests for proposed works related to the street lighting network. Standard grades in English and Mathematics are essential with Higher Mathematics desirable. You may be required to attend College on day release to study NC/HNC in Electrical Engineering. You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
