We’re seeking a Group Benefits Advisor with an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in building a world-class benefits business. The Group Benefits Advisor will be responsible for selling, servicing and retaining new and existing clients. You will positively change the way modern businesses and their employees interact with benefits and HR. You will also help shape how employers across Canada build amazing employee experiences using traditional and non-traditional benefits. Here's what you would be doing day-to-day: Primarily accountable for developing and closing new business – in most cases leads will be provided Offering clients your expertise while reviewing their needs and uncovering other opportunities Take on the role of trusted advisor and relationship manager Simplify employee benefits and the process of buying Assist in the development of business plans and strategies of client acquisition Assist in the preparation of quotes and market surveys Closing opportunities at a rate mutually decided upon Participate in renewal discussions with clients ensuring (checking insurers renewals for accuracy and completeness) Cross sell other services when the opportunity arises Contribute to the overall development of the group benefits division Demonstrate leadership ability within the team to ensure completion of projects and deliverables to clients Consistently use CRM and infrastructure, including workflows and office procedures already in place If you're already excited to get started, you're probably our ideal candidate because you have: LLQP (Life Licensed) 2 – 5 years’ experience in group benefits, as well as life insurance Passionate about identifying business development and sales opportunities; Proven ability to generate revenue Ability to create and execute on business plans Exceptional client service skills, relationship building and multitasking skills Knowledge of underwriting principles, technical pricing capabilities and group insurance product and policy provisions Exceptional communication both written and verbal Strong Presentation and negotiation skills Positive and outgoing professional attitude; Initiative Detail oriented Ability to work well independently and within a team environment Excellent time management and organization - Flexible, Resilient, Resourceful Interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in the Benefits world in addition to contributing to the development of new tools Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite including WORD, EXCEL, email, and CRM Brownie points for: CEBS Licensing in provinces other than Ontario Benefits: Vacation & paid time off On-site parking Job Types: Full-time, Commission, Permanent Salary: $15.00 to $25.00 /hour Experience: General Sales and Aquisition: 2 years (Preferred) Group Benefits Sales: 2 years (Required) Licence: Ontario Life License (Required)
