Administrative Officer Location: Westminster Apply by 08/03/2020 Contract Full time, permanent position Salary Starting at £26,715 Introduction In this Administrative Officer role, you’ll be supporting the Director of Software Engineering, and the Senior Management Team of 4. In this role you’ll need to keep track of multiple projects, managing diaries and travel required by the team. As a result, the Administrative Officer is the go-to person for all things related to the smooth running of the department from an administrative perspective. Role responsibilities The Software Engineering department is responsible for the development of the parliament.uk website as well as multiple business-critical systems that underpin the important work of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. Each day could be quite different, one day you could be taking meeting notes, collating information, sending out action plans and creating risk logs. The next you might be ordering equipment for new starters, creating induction plans and helping to resolve issues. Person specification. You’ll be a natural problem solver, be approachable and easy to talk to. But there will be times when you’ll need to be firm and manage expectations. You’ll relish the opportunity to take ownership of many different things, often juggling many priorities making sure everything moves forward smoothly.
