We are hiring a Senior Manager, Compliance and Legal with a focus on regulatory compliance to play a key part in building and enhancing our compliance program. Reporting to the General Counsel, VP Compliance, this role will provide advisory support to all departments at Paramount Commerce and its subsidiaries. What will you do? Collaborate with Paramount Commerce and subsidiaries compliance team members globally to proactively identify areas for improving compliance programs including policies and procedures, monitoring, testing, reporting, and training. Provide legal and compliance advice to all departments. Review legal contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, merchant agreements and banking services agreements. Act as a subject matter expert for companywide regulatory compliance projects. Be a regulatory compliance knowledge expert and keep up to date with Canadian and international regulatory developments. Assist VP Compliance with responses to regulators. Assist the compliance team in completing team priorities/projects. You will have/be: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in compliance, legal, payments, audit and/or risk management. J.D or LLB mandatory. Graduate degree and/or professional certification preferred. Proven ability to translate and present complex requirements and recommendations to a variety of stakeholders. Proven ability to build strong relationships across the organization and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Be able to work well under pressure while dealing with multiple competing priorities.
