RESPONSIBILITIES: · Determines appropriate routes and trucks to fulfill customer requirements and schedules drivers’ daily schedules. · Continually monitors personnel locations and utilization in order to coordinate services and schedules. · Continually tracks Drivers’ Hours of Service and communicates to Managers · Log’s load assignments to insure continual communication with all members of Logistics team · Serves as primary contact to ensure timely deliveries to customers. · Analyzes and assigns trucks for location to location transfers and assigns appropriate warehouse personnel to assist with transfers. · Advises personnel and service-providers about traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, hazards, or other special instructions. · Communicates all issues and necessary vehicle repairs immediately to Manager. · Conducts special projects and all other duties as assigned by the Manager QUALIFICATIONS: · High school diploma or GED. Degree is a plus · At least three (3) years of prior work experience in a logistics or dispatch capacity with understanding of DOT requirements. · Prior work experience with logistics and exposure to tracking software is a plus. · Bilingual language abilities (English/Spanish) is a plus. · Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Excel skills) and Outlook and strong internet research skills. · Flexibility to work overtime, and be on call as needed. · Ability to pass a background check, drug screen and fitness test. Salary: 50k-60k Job Type: Full-time Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year Experience: Logistics: 3 years (Required)
