As the Benefits & Claims Coordinator, you are responsible for the delivery, evaluation and effective administration of all Canadian and U.S. benefit programs including enrollment of employees as well as ensuring coverage for employees working abroad. As the successful candidate, you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be capable of coordinating several projects simultaneously, and have an ability to manage highly demanding situations in a professional manner. This position reports into the Senior Vice President of Corporate Services and is part of Palliser Furniture Holdings LTD. The duties and responsibilities of this position would include: Manage relationships with insurance companies, consultants and employees to provide quality service. Seamless communications with HR, operations, management and employees as claims are managed. Coordinate the RRSP matching process for eligible employees. Communicate processes and timelines for all benefits. Ensure administrative processes and reporting are adequate by working with carriers to review outputs and provide feedback. Maintain ongoing communication with employees by preparing benefit articles for newsletters, presentations on new benefits or changes to benefits. Monitor ongoing programs such as premium waiver, retirements and computer loan programs. Responsible for New Hire Benefits Orientation sessions. Review and amend relevant polices to benefits and claims. Case management for all short-term disability, long-term disability, and MPI claims. Coordinate semi- annual Retirement Committee meetings. Organize the Wellness committee meetings and agenda. What Do You Bring? CEBS designation is preferred Post secondary training in Business Administration or Human Resource Management Certification or equivalent job-related experience. Minimum of 5 years experience in a benefits & claims administration role. Minimum of 3-5 years disability case management experience. Thrive in a fast-paced environment and with the ability to handle sensitive situations in a professional manner.
