Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with Small Foundation in their search for a new Analyst to be based in Dublin. Our client is a philanthropic foundation with charitable status registered in Ireland. Their vision is an Africa free from extreme poverty by 2030. Their mission is to catalyse income-generating opportunities for extremely poor people in rural sub-Saharan Africa. Small Foundation's goal is to improve the business ecosystems that proliferate income-generating opportunities by expanding access to knowledge, skilled human resources, finance, technology, and markets for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). Reporting to a Senior Executive, the new Analyst will work across the organisation to research and identify market intelligence trends, potential areas for focus and action, and possible partner organisations. You will landscape the market, paying attention to compelling organisations with innovative approaches that contribute to Small Foundation's vision and go on to create insightful reports and disseminate the data and knowledge across a wide variety of stakeholders. You will support Small Foundation to distil information from their work to engage a wide variety of stakeholders and generate appropriate content for their media channels. You will also organise and participate in internal and external meetings. The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level (preferably Masters level) or equivalent and have excellent research, analysis and communication skills alongside a genuine interest in international development and investing for social impact. You will have an understanding of the importance of commercial viability and business-based approaches in adding value in development and be genuinely inspired by Small Foundation's social purpose. You will possess the capability to develop and summarise complex reports and understand financial reports and business plans in line with Small Foundation's priorities. Furthermore, to be successful, you will be a proficient Microsoft Office user and you will be able to learn new software quickly.
