Roles & Responsibilities Description: We require an individual with a strong sense of design, the knowledge of how to execute the design and the sensitivity of budget control. Someone who can not only lead projects, but who has had success being client-facing, as our clients are often very involved in our projects. This responsibility would entail over-seeing a team of designers/contract employees for larger projects. It would also include managing client expectations and multiple vendors to meet pressing deadlines Someone who has the capability to work on projects pitching. Candidates to have excellent communication skills and a broad base of experience in all aspects of design, documentation, and construction administration. Candidates to be able to work side by side with other Design Principals relative to the internal and external tasks of managing, executing, and coordinating architectural projects as well as preparing design and construction documents, and managing/coordinating construction administration services. Candidates to be able to assemble a complete drawing package from site plan to finish details. This would include coordinating with and incorporating work from civil engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and client requirements, to meet operational goals - Candidate to Liaise and discuss project-relevant issues with Authority (Government Agencies) and Clients - Candidates to be able to lead Consultants and Client management Coordination meetings. Ability to stay current with the latest industry and general design trends and requirements within the discipline - Ability to effectively present information to top leadership, public groups and/or boards of directors - Priorities can change very quickly and the preferred individual needs to be flexible and focused at the same time and be able to multitask with ease Requirements: - A recognized Degree in Architecture; preferably registered with the Board of Architects, Singapore; - Minimum 13 Years of experience at international practice Minimum 10 Years of experience at Singapore practice - Ability to lead and manage a team - Experience in Housing Concept Design, Design Management, Tender Documentation and Construction Management - Experience in Showflat Concept Design, Design Management, Tender Documentation and Construction Management - Experience in Condominium Concept Design, Design Management, Tender Documentation and Construction Management - Familiar with large scale projects (Master planning, infrastructure, commercial, mixed-use, office towers) - Good knowledge of architectural details, working drawings and construction practices - Experience and ability to lead project coordination meetings with consultants and sub-contractors - Experience and ability to carry out authority consultations Deep knowledge and experience in local construction contracts Deep knowledge and experience in design management, tender documentation, contract administration and project management Conversant with local codes and regulations Candidates must have excellent computer skills in all relevant design software programs, traditional hand rendering skills and familiarity with contemporary and new design tools. Well Versed in Autocad, Sketchup, Revit, Photoshop, indesign, 3dMax and other design software
