The role This role will serve as a servant leader for the Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to scale Lean and Agile practices and assist teams in delivering value while communicating the status of the development to the business. Responsibilities include: Facilitating critical events like Program Increment (PI) Planning and Inspect and Adapt (I&A) Establishing and communicating annual calendar for Iterations and Program Increments (PI) Working closely with product owners, solution architects, scrum masters and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment Developing the implementation plan and managing the backlog Assisting execution and tracking of delivery within the ART using agile tools such as the ART Kanban Working with several scrum/feature teams to ensure each team is achieving their (PI) objectives Escalating any impediments and managing any risks or dependencies across multiple scrum teams Facilitating system and solution demos Ensuring collaboration and dependency management within and between ARTs Coaching on Lean-Agile practices as required Improving the flow of value through value streams using Continuous Delivery pipeline and DevOps Fostering SAFe Communities of Practice (CoPs) and the use of engineering and built-in quality practices About you We are looking for a self-motivated individual who works well in a collaborative environment and loves tackling big problems. Creative engineering will be required in this role, as well as the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time. You: An experienced Scrum Master with over 5 years of experience OR an experienced Release Train Engineer with over four (4) Program Increment experience Are analytical with strong troubleshooting skills Experience and understanding of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Work well in cross-functional, multicultural, geographically-dispersed teams Feel at home in a fast-paced, changing environment Remain cool and effective in a crisis while supporting team members as much as possible Communicate effectively with stakeholders in different levels, both verbally and in writing Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building In addition, you will have: Strong professional experience (5+ years) in a high-availability operational environment. Strong understanding of different project management methodologies, tools, and defect tracking systems A Bachelor's degree in computer science (or a related field) or equivalent commercial experience Willingness to travel to promote Lean-Agile adoption Benefits and perks Modern office at 200 Mary Street, Brisbane.
