Key Responsibilities Working hands on when needed, provide technical and administrative support to the facilities department Supervise minor facilities projects and small works Conduct HSE audits, inspections and Risk assessments whilst being a “go-to” person for the HSE department Maintain EHS records held for contractors on our approved suppliers list and ensure contractors are aware of and adhere to local work instructions and are fully inducted to the site they are working on Ensure the timely closure of Quality, EHS and other actions for the department Specification, Installation and validation of facility equipment and services Promote and actively engage in sustainability and energy saving initiatives To coordinate multi-site facilities contracts such as cleaning and security to ensure cross site consistency Establish and maintain open communications with associates who have requested facilities support To obtain quotations, negotiate costs with sub contractors in order to prepare fully detailed capex submission Setting and maintaining standards for all facilities activities including plant, processes, control measures and procedures that deliver and maintain this Act as the Subject matter expert for facilities Support the local facilities engineers maintain the required standards for the local site and to standardise systems and documentation across sites Support other engineering teams to deliver common goals. To ensure Health and Safety Policies and Environmental Policies are always being adhered to Ensuring full compliance with all regulatory guidelines and company Standard Operations Procedures (SOP’s) at all times Conduct themselves at all times in a professional and courteous manner, and maintain a good appearance acceptable to our customers and management The achievement of agreed personal objectives Whilst the above responsibilities constitute the primary functions of the role, the Facilities and Projects Manager may be required to carry out other reasonable tasks as dictated by the needs of the business People Management Motivation & direction of contractors Builds excellent relationships at all level Knowledge and Expertise Experience in facilities / maintenance activities Working knowledge of safety regulations and legislation Experience in a supervisory role Experienced in managing contractors Competent with MS office suite Relevant working knowledge in a regulated industry and GMP Qualifications Indentured apprenticeship in an Engineering discipline HNC electrical / mechanical NEBOSH NGC IEMA foundation certificate NVQ level 3 in related topic Hours for this position are 37.5 per week Mon - Friday.
