Orwell Healthcare seeking to recruit experienced an experienced Catering Assistant for our state of the art Healthcare Facility. This is a full time, permanent position. The Orwell Healthcare Catering Department provide meals, snacks, beverages and sundries to our 160+ residents and patients across two locations, as well as to our colleagues and visitors to our coffee shop. This is an excellent opportunity to develop within our organisation. Our Kitchen operates seven days a week from 07.00 to 18.00. This role requires a flexible shift roster over seven days including evening work. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends. Main duties of the role: To work as part of a team, under the direction of the Catering Supervisor Maintain a high standard of hygiene throughout the kitchen Assist the Chef with the preparation, cooking and distribution of meals. Assist with the delivery of meals to units. Ensure all requirements are met, depending on residents needs/requests. Keep all kitchen, fridges, freezers, cold room and stores areas clean and tidy.
