The Opportunity Orchard has an exciting new opportunity for a talented Assistant Accountant to join the growing finance team based in beautiful Pyrmont. The Assistant Accountant will work closely with the Finance Manager to be a key provider of accounting services and business intelligence, and will operate as an important enabler to the agency's success. You’ll join a close-knit and supportive team that are well-respected as part of a fun, social and collaborative wider agency environment. Key Functions Billings & Revenue Process billings for a variety of clients across the agency Reconcile revenue against budget & oversee billings & revenue Review revenue to ensure that it’s recognised and followed process Minimise write offs and ensure correct documentation End of Month Review and finalise revenue Coordinate & prepare balance sheet recs Review trail balance for accurate allocation Cash Flow Prepare weekly cash flow reports Ensure accurate data Liaise with AP and Debtors to check data Provide a weekly analysis on accuracy Client profitability Prepare client profitability reports Manage timesheets and impact on timesheets Set up of client/products in Pegasus and ensure correct remuneration Taxes Prepare BAS & PAYG Prepare FBT Skills and Experience 2 years’ experience in a billings/invoicing role within advertising or service industry Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with agency finance systems such as Pegasus or BCC would be an advantage but not essential Advanced Excel skills Ability to work with multiple stake-holders Strong commercial accument If this sounds like the role for you – please apply today!
