We're looking for talented back-end engineers to join our Lisbon-based team and help us continue to build the future of online trust. The Role As a Back-end Engineer, you will: Work in a cross-functional team to design, build, test and ship terrific features Work closely with designers and product managers to understand the needs of Onfido's users and customers Provide technical guidance, support and advice to other engineers at Onfido Some of the back-end projects you'll work on: Develop state-of-the-art machine learning-backed services for automated biometric verification and fraud analysis; Design a scalable architecture for high throughput verification, focusing on speed and fraud accuracy; Continuously improve monitoring and tracing to provide a highly available service for our customers. Requirements What we're hoping to see highlighted on your CV and application: Essential skills Good knowledge and experience with Python Capable with testing frameworks, such as PyTest You're enthusiastic and technically curious about back-end technologies Keen to take ownership for delivering complex projects, from design to deployment to operation Upholding and promotion of good practices in code design, quality and security Desirable skills: Experience with Ruby and/or Elixir Practical experience with Tensorflow To be a great fit at Onfido, we look for individuals who share our values.
