Within a few years, Plüss-Staufer enlarged its business with glazier's putty to trade with chalk and the production of linseed oil. The putty plant of Gottfried Plüss has meanwhile become a worldwide proceeding company. This change became visible in the name too. The Plüss-Staufer AG was renamed to Omya AG in August 2000.
