Gilbert and Goode Ltd, one of our Group companies, has an exciting opportunity for a Development Accountant to join their company based in St Austell, Cornwall to provide a full accountancy service for development projects from initial appraisal through to project cost tracking and cash flow reporting. To find out more about the Ocean Group please visit our website http://www.ocean-group.co.uk/ The Role Reporting to the Finance Manager of Gilbert & Goode while working closely with the Development Managers you will provide a full accountancy service for development projects from initial appraisal through to project cost tracking and cashflow reporting. You will have the responsibility for the analysis and monitoring, from a financial perspective, of the broader development programme with a view to highlighting and providing the Gilbert & Goode management team with the risk of cashflow and/or WIP levels. You will support Development Managers in the preparation of investment and ongoing scheme appraisals to assess and ensure the continued viability, monitoring against KPI’s and having an awareness of key risks. For more information regarding to specific responsibilities please refer to the Job Description About You You will have knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and methods and have experience of budgeting, cash flow management and forecasting principles. You will be thorough with a good attention to detail and is able to manage and prioritise your time and workload. You are able to demonstrate an understanding of other team’s agenda’s and is able to work collaboratively whilst maintaining a positive, credible impression on others, maintaining calm and professional at all times. You will hold a Professional Qualification (CIMA, ACCA or CIPFA). A degree or equivalent level 6 qualification is desirable and not essential.
