Position Summary A highly visible supply chain role that will manage the Demand Planning (forecasting and inventory) requirements process. This is a strategic and hands-on position responsible for developing and executing Demand and Inventory plans that will drive the organization towards exceeding customer service levels. Collaboration with other members of the supply chain, sales, marketing, and customer support teams is paramount to achieve these sales and service objectives. Position Responsibilities Create production plans and analyze attainment for products manufactured as assigned. Advise management of discrepancies or any capacity limitations. Review capacity requirements (equipment, human capital, etc.) and provide facility management a weekly plan. Manage the creation and maintenance of the schedules for all production operations in the plant, which includes production of various brands to meet customer needs. Lead JIT and other Lean principles to control and minimize inventory. Maintain close contact with the purchasing/sourcing team to align efforts to demand plan and further minimize raw part shortages. Analyze and maintain planning systems to stock appropriate inventory levels in distribution centers throughout the year and anticipate seasonal changes in demand. Target to fill rate goal and minimum/maximum stock levels. Report inventory and fill rate results. Participate on New Product Information teams to manage production plans and scheduling of finished goods, and coordinate with Buyer, Material Planner, and Production Scheduler to minimize obsolete inventory. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Experience In-depth knowledge of planning and scheduling. Ability to effectively apply experience and skills in a multi-facility setting. Flexibility and ability to think and react quickly and detail oriented. In-depth emotional intelligence: behavioral maturity, demonstrated trust and integrity, high ethical standards, interpersonal competence and the ability to prevent, reduce and resolve conflict. Strong written and oral communication skills. Previous Demand Resource Planning or Material Resource Planning experience. Advanced Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Report Writer, Microsoft Dynamics AX. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and generate results in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. Demonstrated business acumen and strong analytical abilities. Demonstrated team and individual leadership skills: decision-making, analytical, team building and organization skills. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and supportive to meet changing work demands. Accountability for meeting performance expectations. Education and Certification Four Year College Degree (Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field) APICS CPIM Certification preferred.
