About the role We are seeking an experienced RN to join our team in a Full Time capacity as a Clinical Research Nurse (CRN). As a CRN within our organisation and you can expect to work variety of shifts (AM/PM/ND) within our clinical unit, known as The Centre for Clinical Studies. The CRN is responsible for assisting in the coordination / supervision of staff and participants within the clinical unit to ensure that clinical trials are conducted in accordance with ICH-GCP, Sponsor guidelines and Centre for Clinical Studies standard operating procedures We are looking for RN's who are willing to work day and/or night shifts. Our unit has a dedicated team of permanent nurses and operates 24/7. Job tasks and responsibilities Performing clinical procedures/assessments according to the approved protocol requirements, NN standard operating procedures and ICH GCP. Administering Investigational Products, prescription and concomittant medications via all routes (i.e. IV / IM / SC / PO etc) as appropriately trained and according to NN SOPs Providing general nursing care and monitoring the well-being of patients/healthy volunteers when on study, taking appropriate actions when necessary. Conducting procedures such as vital signs, ECG's, blood collection, blood processing as well as adverse events and data collection. When delegated, acting as the nurse in charge and working within a higher scope of practice. Skills and experience Registered Division 1 Nurses with APRHA with no restrictions. 2 years minimum post graduate experience. Must be able to prove full Australian working rights. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with participants and other health care professionals. Excellent time management, attention to detail skill and be able to rigorously adhere to relevant documentation standards. A positive and fun personality. We work hard but we like a laugh and love working with other staff who show initiative and find solutions!
