My client a well-known Automotive Services Group is looking to hire a Dealer Training Director to join their team in Johannesburg. You will be required to manage dealer / retail performance initiatives in the area of dealer business management, customer experience and learning and development. You will be reporting to the Country Head – South Africa and have a dotted line reporting into the Markets Group Academies Director. Duties: Oversee essential learning & development program and business management processes Spearhead local innovation initiatives Bring regional strategic initiatives into South Africa Shape & create retail performance improvement training programs to help retailers become more successful / profitable. For example: Developing training programs to help retailers sell more cars Helping retailers to improve parts ordering and sales Strategies and techniques to improve aftersales performance Drive accessories sales Improve retailer loyalty Liaise with key stakeholders and work with dealers to improve impact of academy initiatives Set-up, improve and run regular report-outs to key stakeholders Manage the annual planning and budgeting exercise Drive continuous improvement through evaluation of measurement systems Lead a team of Program Managers running various initiatives under the Academy Coach and mentor a team of 10 Training Facilitators and 20 Associates Requirements: Extensive experience in improving Automotive Retail Performance Minimum of 15 years from an Automotive / OEM / Car Dealership environment Strong management skills with proven ability to influence senior level individuals Excellent communication skills (comfortable speaking in public and/or to a large audience) Background in running a service organization and dealing with multiple projects and multiple stakeholders Experience advising all levels of management on large automotive OEMs
