We are looking for a self-starter IT professional to join a Sydney based law firm. In this role, you'll be a key person managing the entire IT department from planning to execution. The responsibilities Keep the IT systems within the firm up to date and running smoothly Support colleagues in resolving IT issues Train staff about the correct use of existing systems Ensure the smooth adaptation of new technologies within the firm Record the state of existing IT systems, costs and related overheads Report on suggested maintenances and updates Prepare and IT plan and budget annually Research and suggest new IT solutions to increase efficiency Implement new solutions that increase the firm s competitiveness The measures of success IT expenditure matches budget forecast Report in a timely and precise manner Make appropriate recommendations Keep the systems error-free, running smoothly without key processes being disrupted by IT issues The requirements 3-5 years of experience in IT desktop support in a commercial or academic environment Skilled with Linux or Microsoft Windows Confident in IP Networking Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to work alone, without direct supervision
