We require proactive and hardworking staff to work as part of our Security Team at Nottingham University Hospital. As a Security Officer your duties will include the detection and prevention of crime, routine patrolling of the campuses, securing buildings and providing a presence within various clinical areas in addition to providing an ad-hoc escorting and guarding service (bed watches) across the rest of the hospitals. It is essential that you hold a current SIA Front Line Guarding Licence and have a minimum of NVQ Level 2 qualification in Maths and English. A full and current UK driving licence is preferable. Applicants must be outgoing, enthusiastic and flexible in their approach with the ability to work independently and be an effective written and verbal communicator. You will work an average of 37.5 hours working 12 hour shifts, alternating between sets of days and nights on a 4 on 5 off pattern which will include weekends and bank holidays. Your post maybe subject to a DBS check which incurs a cost dependent on the level of check required (£45 for enhanced and £28 for standard). I agree to reimburse NUH NHS Trust the cost of a DBS check if it is required (by deduction from first month’s pay). Should I decide to withdraw from my job offer, I agree to reimburse NUH NHS Trust the cost of the DBS check undertaken by cheque or other agreed method.
