North Central Co-op invites applications for the position of Petroleum Sales Representative to join our team at our retail co-operative located in Stony Plain, Alberta. This position reports to the Petroleum Manager. Job Summary The Petroleum Sales Representative will focus on aggressively pursuing growth opportunities while maximizing operational results and maintaining current customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Promote the sale of bulk petroleum, lubricants and propane to existing and emerging customer segments with a focus on ag and industrial segments. Focus is needed on ensuring a consistent high level of customer service is being provided Complete direct customer sales calls and negotiate sales contracts Provide positive leadership, guidance and mentorship to all petroleum team members Monitor operational results to ensure monthly and annual budget targets are achieved for sales, margins and expenses Support in the development of the sales and customer strategies with a heavier emphasis on execution Qualifications Post-Secondary Education in a related field 5 years proven sales leadership experience Desire to build relationships and provide high quality customer service High energy, self-motivated and positive attitude Must have strong teamwork and problem-solving skills Must have excellent interpersonal skills, organizational and communication skills Travel This role will require travel within North Central’s trading area which includes Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, Stony Plain and Hinton. Travel will be required daily to new and existing customers/members. Due to the nature of the role, we will provide the tools to support the mobility required to mange a regular customer call cycle.
